Summer racing season is finally here!

I know it's been a long break from the last carpet race, and we are all ready to enjoy the sun and fun that comes with outdoor asphalt racing. The track upgrades are complete, and it's time to burn some nitro.

I want to thank everyone who has supported and backed me as I transition into the challenging role of president. It's encouraging to know you all have so much confidence in me. I'll try not to disappoint.

The amount of work to date has seemed like a never ending task, but I think we all expected as much. I know I for one am very ready to relax under the sun and enjoy the fruits of our labor. This summer should be a huge success with the addition of the gas racers and new racers that will want to race with us. Once they see the track and locations, I think they'll be hooked.

We still have room to grow, and bid decisions to make, but they will get easier now that the gowing pains are subsiding.

I personnaly want to thank Mark W. and Mario for all the work they have done to get the club off the ground and to the point it is now. Without all the hard work they have both contributed, we would not be where we are today. They have both made the job of president a doable task. I don't think most people know the extent of what is required to get all the details sorted out.

And let's not forget all the others who have contributed thier time and resources to make the club what it is. These members have donated time, materials, effort, special skills etc., to allow all of us to enjoy exceptional facilities and racing.

The more I think about why I spend so much time and effort to race toy cars, the more I realize it is because I enjoy the company and commrodorie (SIC) that I get with all of you. Thanks again to all of you. You guys make racing more then just playing with toy cars!!
