1-14-08 Weekend overview
We had a good turn out this weekend with some great racing. Great to see
so many fast people running at one of the largest carpet tracks in the
nation. Track was a bit tighter then usual but made for some close
racing. We had six heats of racing that included one heat of 13.5 rubber
tire, three heats of 19T touring, one heat of stock 1/12th scale, and
one heat of 19T 1/12th scale.
19T touring A-main was action packed with lots of flying bits all over
the track. Kody got out to a good lead but broke allowing Steve to
hand everyone their walking papers.
19T 1/12th Scale was a real nail bitter and came down to almost a photo
finish, but Russ was able to hang on for the win.
Frederico won the raffle again...yeah that's right he has won three out
of the four drawings. Next time you see him make sure you mention that
he needs to buy the club pizza or something. He needs to be playing some
Colorado Lottery with his luck. Congratulations Freddy!

Keith for taking care of the hot dogs for the club.

Don't forget that the 5th Annual Carpet Classic is Scheduled for January
26th and 27th. If you have not registered please mail in the
registration form to Mario ASAP. At this point it is too late to get a
T-shirt, but you can still get registered. The registration form is on

On-road season

A few people in the club are actively working to find a place to race this summer,
and for carpet next year.
Please let any of the officers know if you have a good place to run in mind and
we can discuss the opportunity.

New CORRC stickers

Don't forget that Mario has the CORRC logo stickers for sale.
He is selling them for three dollars each and has both black and
silver versions available. Thanks Mario for creating these for the club.

Mario has also created the placement stickers for each of the top three
positions in each main. Thanks again Mario!

Hot Hot Hot

Looks like the club will be receiving a donation of a gas grill that we can use
to cook up some hot dogs and hamburgers. This grill will
be donated to the club with no strings attached and will be stored by
one of the club members for the club to use long term. I have heard a nasty
rumor that Larry Numedahl will be cooking for us at the classic. I hope our
club insurance does not lap by then...:)
